Don't Send Me Back to Surgery

If successful mental health treatment was like brain surgery:

The tumor/injury is not visible. It takes a long time to figure out it is there. It takes a long time to figure what type of surgery is required to fix it. So you do the work. You get the help. You go into surgery.

When you come out of surgery and you finally have that huge scare on the back of your head that you have been begging for.

But now everyone finally sees the injury. They see the scars and they are scared. All they see is how hurt you are and now all they want to do it help you. They are just a little behind. Don’t send me back to surgery. Help me in recovery.
